What is a human?

A human is not a chair.
A human is not a fruitcake. A human is not a robot…
We like to say only humans do certain things and those things set us apart.
Only ones to use tools? Not true.
Only ones to make/use/learn language? Not true.
Only ones with higher functioning memory/emotions/
thought processes? Not true.

So then we (humans) are either “nots” or “onlys”

But mostly *we* are what human is. Me. I am human. So I understand things that are not *me* to be non-human.
Even, maybe often, other humans.
Human is what *my* eyes see out of, what *my* heart beats inside of.
You might be made of chair parts. You act human, you seem human. But since all of the tests are inconclusive, how am I to really know?

Humans and robots, living peacefully together... (we all know that can't happen because Sci-Fi)
