the Roulettes

Well, here’s a song that came to mind, bc something just got this Roulette real agitated this morning. Sometimes I can identify it as what I call “angry coffee” (yeah yeah quit coffee blah blah blah) but methinks today it might be that the strongest woman I know, my mama, is recovering from heart surgery (planned but still scary) in the hospital where I almost died giving birth after my baby girl (also so strong!) almost didn’t live, coming out not breathing, and when I visit my mom I walk by Bellevue where our friend Neil DID die in a trauma ICU after a hit and run. I think it’ll be fifteen years this April or was it last April?

And a few blocks south of that is the now defunct Beth Israel where I was born. Speaking of Israel, yeah, I guess, hmm, could it be that this unnecessary war started by THE WEAKEST MEN is also making me a bit agitated? Could it be???? Just maybe. And could it be that good old boy America is already less safe, aka the so-called fake ass objective of keeping us safe has been so clearly exposed as the bs we knew it was as we already see people who have suffered loss of family and hatred towards their people or religion or all of it now attacking regular old people who didn’t want this war both here and over “there” (always just a distant other we destroy) and the media isn’t calling out the illegality, like we’ve moved on already from that, and to hear talk of supply side economics and exit strategies and endless endless missiles what year is it again and again and again?

Oh and imagine if the DOD and President were teachers getting observed with no clear objective. That’s one just for the teachers.)That would be rated some ineffective nonsense (even if they did everything else perfect). But go ahead, start a war with no plan, or not revealing your real plan. Only lowly educators need students to understand “their why.”
