Now a NIFCA award winner, after capturing both silver and bronze medals in this year NIFCA competition.

Born as Rashad King on August 19th
, 1996 in Bridgetown Barbados clueless to the challenges his life
will bring him. At a very young age his mom was told that he will not be like any normal kid because
of a learning disability. Rashad King then attended the Learning Center School a school for kids with
learning disabilities. Growing up Rashad kept to himself and family because he didn’t have many
friends. At a very young age he grew an interest I. Music, he listened to Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz, Pop and
Reggae. He use to write to beats off of YouTube in his free time, this was before he had the
opportunity to record his lyrics in a studio.
Along with music he also loved to play table tennis, this is where he met a friend name Stephen
Payne who also played the sport. Rashad and Stephen became close friends and started hanging out
together on the south coast of the island where they both lived. After a while he met Stephen’s
cousin Nicholas Williams also known as “Nick Wavy” who actually writes and records his own Hip
Hop songs. Rashad (French King) shortly recorded a song with Nick Wavy at Nick’s house and Rashad
loved the experience.
A while after Rashad friend Stephen introduced him to Ashlin Payne also known as “Stoney” the
President and CEO of Born For Music Entertainment. He shared his interest in music with Stoney and
they formed a friendship shortly after. Stoney introduced him to other members of B.F.M
Entertainment at one of their weekly meetings.Rashad (French King) then became a member of
B.F.M Entertainment. He then got the opportunity to record his music professionally.
Being a part of B.F.M Entertainment took him to a higher level and he recorded his first mixtape with
them. Inspired by The Notorious B.I.G and Tupac Shakur to be the best rapper he can be, he shows
dedication to his music and loyalty to Born For Music Entertainment. He faces all of his life challenges
proving that no matter what anyone thinks or say don’t give up. And he wants to prove to the world that’s he’s going to make it.
