nyc half was dope - 1:21:59! 1 minute PR and a 2 minute course PR. qualified for NYC Marathon 2027!

a very challenging effort but i’m happy to have done it. this is all a tune up for the .marathon next month so i ran this race on tired legs. i was shooting for just a sub :23 and honestly i wasn’t even thinking i could do that. i had an injury in january that sidelined me for about two weeks. it was tough. but you know what? i had the pace in me. i know yu can’t get too attached to good results in this sport because nothing is guaranteed but man o man did i need this!

jersey city next month will be challenging but im going into the last 4 weeks for training with confidence! lets do this.
