Since 10th grade, for the most part, I’ve always had a job. And more often than not, that job had something to do with education.
I’ve been a camp counselor, recreational specialist, and a Saturday academy basketball coach.
I’ve served as a boys mentoring coordinator, an administrative assistant for an after-school program, and even an after-school music teacher.
I’ve held the titles of program assistant, assistant program director, and program director—twice at the same time (nah, for real).
I’ve been a summer youth program site monitor and a program coordinator too.
But despite all that, I had never experienced having my own set of students; tracking their growth over the course of an entire school year.
That changed this past year.
It ended up being one of the most rewarding, challenging, and beautiful chapters in my educational journey.
I got to love on mini-strangers who surprised me with birthday gifts and songs just weeks after we met & I even made some lifelong friends.
As I always have, I love the youth with my whole heart. And I always will.
No matter what field I’m in, the future stays at the forefront of my thoughts.
That said, after finally stepping into that long-awaited role in education, I now feel the timing is right to move fully into the worlds that have always stirred my soul: media, arts, and entertainment.
For those who know me, you’ve seen it over the years: me promoting, creating, analyzing, and obsessing over the craft both in front of and behind the scenes. This shift isn’t random. It’s a long time comin’.
And I’m stepping into it confidently.
So to those in my network: if you know of any opportunities in film, TV, music, fashion, marketing, entertainment, creative direction, or media, feel free to reach out.
Not searching out of lack, but for alignment.
I believe I have what it takes—and I’m already on my way.
In fact, I’ve already started. I’ve recently been hired by a marketing & sales firm, and the first few weeks of our partnership have been amazing. Excited for what’s ahead and grateful for our uncapped growth potential! 💫
