Handstand Records

The Unheard Ones were a mid-90s emo trio whose brief but bright existence left a lasting mark on the fortunate few who witnessed them live. Baltimore City Paper posthumously described their self-titled EP as a "ménage à trois of feeling, force, and fragility." However, their studio and demo recordings have largely remained… well, unheard for the past 30 years.

That’s about to change, thanks to Colin Seven from Universal Order of Armageddon who tirelessly championed a reissue, and acted as matchmaker between DIY label Handstand Records and the surviving band members. Vocalist/guitarist Tim Kabara and bassist Lisa Starace have unearthed a well of stories and songs to assemble a reissue tribute to the late drummer Eli Jones, coming this summer.

FUN FACT: My old punk band was supposed to play with back in ‘98, but our set was abruptly cut short after we got in a fight with some skinheads and the show got shut down.
