The Silent Epidemic: 27 people found deceased in their homes in one month. 💔

According to ZAKA data, 27 people were found deceased in their homes during May 2026, often days, and sometimes even weeks after passing away.

This represents a 170% increase compared to the same month last year.

Behind every number is a person.
A neighbor. A relative. A friend.
Someone whose absence went unnoticed for far too long.

In response to the alarming rise, ZAKA is calling on the public to be more aware of those around them. Check on elderly neighbors, relatives who live alone, and anyone who may be isolated.💗

Tragedy in Bukhara.

A 72-year-old Jewish man collapsed and passed away at the airport in Uzbekistan during a trip in the region.

From the moment the report was received, ZAKA’s International Unit began working together with local authorities, the Jewish community, Israel’s Foreign Ministry, and additional officials to ensure he is brought to burial in Israel with dignity and as quickly as possible.

Because of the proximity to Shabbat, efforts are continuing around the clock to complete all necessary arrangements and assist the family during this difficult time.💗

A devastating attack.

A contractor was killed today in northern Israel after a direct strike by an explosive drone hit engineering equipment at the site.

Emergency and security forces responded immediately.
ZAKA Northern District volunteers operated alongside police forensic teams, working carefully to ensure dignity and collect findings at the scene.

This is another painful reminder of the ongoing reality and of the teams who continue to respond, every time, without hesitation.

On Memorial Day for Israel’s Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Hostile Acts, we bow our heads.

We share in the collective grief of the entire nation and mourn the loss of every soul that fell defending Israel, as well as every victim of terror.
