Pre-staging for this project will last for the remainder of this month. Beginning Tuesday, January 13th and until Saturday, January 31st, the NYCDOT will close the right lane nightly on Old Fulton Street in both directions under the BQE from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. During this time, the sidewalk on Old Fulton under the BQE will also be closed. A protected pedestrian path with minimum five feet width will be maintained along the closed
sidewalk. In addition, the NYCDOT will close the right lane and shoulder on the Staten Island-bound BQE from Brooklyn Bridge to over Old Fulton Street in the early morning hours from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. The staged construction will then take place from Spring 2026 until Fall 2026, including four non-consecutive weekends when only one lane will be open on the SIB BQE (Saturday, 1 am to Monday, 5 am).

Have you noticed the fading ad on the side of the Eagle Warehouse that was revealed during façade restoration? It was likely an advertisement for the Brooklyn Savings Bank location at Pierrepont and Clinton, which was also designed by noted Brooklyn architect Frank Freeman and demolished in 1964.
