How do you make sure, your customer data is not breached?

🏥 One Brooklyn Health System reported a data breach spanning from July 9 to November 19, 2022, which exposed confidential patient details, including Social Security numbers and medical information.

To resolve the resulting class-action lawsuit, they’ve set aside a $1.5 million settlement fund.

Individuals affected can seek up to $2,500 in compensation by showing proof of any losses, such as bills or credit statements. 💰🔒

Remember that just enabling MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) is not enough, it needs to be looked after.

You must have a written procedure that describes how the MFA is replaced and for what reasons, otherwise it may be late and you may suffer a financial loss.

For example, if you're changing a phone, don't forget to transfer the MFA to the new phone before erasing the old one.

If you lose your phone or it has lost functionality due to a software error, you need to have a backup phone prepared in advance that will also have MFA enabled for the same accounts.
You need to think in advance and write down what you will do during any incident.
