Waste.Lost
Many of the pulled we find in the oceans are released into the environment long before they reach shorelines. Nitrogen-rich fertilizer used by inland farmers, for example, end up in local streams, rivers and groundwater, later being deposited estuaries, bay and deltas. This excess of nutrients can cause a massive growth of allege that consume the oxygen in the water, creating areas where there can be no or hardly any marine life. Scientists have discovered 400 dead zones with these characteristics around the planet.

Flexible plastics, such as
plastic sheets, bags and
packaging, can cause gut
blockage and are responsible
for the greatest number of
deaths over all animal groups.
Only plastic bags kill 100,000 ocean creatures. Unfortunately, plastic bags and flexible plastic items are not received by any recycling facility and end up in the environment.
If you love the ocean, kill plastic bags.
