Your workout doesn’t have to wreck you to be worth it.

NYC fitness culture loves to make you feel like anything less than maxed out is lazy🙄

But your body isn’t asking for a beatdown every time… sometimes it just needs to move with intention.

Fast, slow, controlled, all of it counts!

Tell me one thing you wish fitness culture understood better about bodies👇🏽-Tay

I almost didn’t show up this week.
Not to class, not to the studio, but to myself.

Between navigating running two studios, a full-time team, and the general heaviness that comes with starting a new year, I’ve been running on fumes.

The kind where you know you should rest, but the to-do list keeps screaming louder than your body.

So here’s what’s keeping me grounded right now: reading a novel before bed.

I know…revolutionary, right?

But genuinely, my brain has started to recognize it as wind-down time. It’s my signal that the day is done, that I don’t have to fix or solve or hustle anymore.

👉🏽This month at Fringe, we’re focusing on Starting Where You Are, which feels almost too on the nose.

Whether you’re brand new to Pilates, burned out by the fitness industrial complex, or just trying to remember what it feels like to move without pressure, this is your reminder that you don’t have to arrive prepared.

Just bringing yourself & some grip socks is enough! 😉

The work isn’t about being perfect or “on.” It’s about showing up messy, tired, and still worthy of care.

So if you’re feeling the new year nerves or like you’re behind before you’ve even started, it’s okay. Let’s take it slow together!

What’s one small thing keeping you grounded lately? I’d love to hear it.
