That little girl isn’t the birthday girl, but she was wearing a watermelon bathing suit to her cousin’s Cocomelon themed party and I just thought it was more appropro to post her than the birthday girl. Also, if we were being honest, it’s easier to bribe a 3 year old to pose for a picture than a 2 year old who is busy enjoying her second birthday bash 🍉

To know me is to know a wild child, a free spirit, someone who hates to be tied down. Becoming the one that a little human depends on for their very life was the biggest topsy turvy my life endured.

April 3, 2015, after 27 hours of excrutiating labor and a deeply traumatic birth, my first sweet love, Zev, was born.

I said I’d never do it again. But 7 years later, there are now four little humans–Zev, Gavi, Becca, and Meli ❤️️

The incredible responsibility of giving life and sustaining life is something I realize more and more as each of my kids grows older. The accountability is unparalleled, knowing that my every word and action affects my child’s entire world. I am humbled by the power and it forces me to be better.

As if 4 kids aren’t enough, BVG is my baby too! In total, I’ve got five kids— five full-time jobs!

Being a mom and a business owner is hard. There never seems to be enough time in the day and the mom guilt can get heavy. I’ve learned to give myself grace and I pray that the sacrifices that my children make having a full time working mom are worth it. One thing I know for sure is that it is important for me that my kids, especially my daughter Becca, see a strong woman raising them. I want her to see a mom who does not acknowledge a glass ceiling– instead, a mom that drills through it and decorates the whole place with balloons!
