Hello everyone

My son need a Kidney Transplant..Please consider giving our son "Gift of Life" and being a Living Donor.

My dear friends and family,

As some of you might know, I have a kidney disease that prevents me from living a normal and fulfilling life. Over time, I have gotten worse, causing both my kidneys to not work well enough to keep me alive on their own. I have been needing dialysis 3 times per week, which is something I wouldn’t wish on anybody.

I’m only 19 years old, and there’s so much more I’d like to be doing rather than sitting there for hours on end every week getting treatment. But that’s basically the only option I have: living with this treatment for life or getting a kidney transplant.

A transplant would offer more freedom and would allow me to live a longer, healthier, and overall more normal life. A transplant would also mean I’d be able to go back to enjoying the activities I used to.

However, finding a donor is not an easy task. Most people wait for years, and many die while waiting. The average wait time in the United States is of five years if waiting for a deceased donor. But there are other options, and this is why I’m asking for your help today.
Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me, and it’s been hard to get here, but if I could find someone willing to consider donating, then my chances of getting a transplant would improve highly. Also, a living kidney donation usually lasts longer and has better function than one from a deceased donor.
I’m aware that you might not know much about donation, and I know it sounds scary, but I will be there every step of the way to help you understand how things would work. It’s funny, but you only need one kidney to live a healthy and long life, and that’s as much as I’d need from you. The recuperation period for the donor would usually be fairly quick, generally about two weeks, but for me, it’d be life-changing.
So thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you know anybody that could be willing to help, please do spread the word around. The donor needs to have the same blood type as the patient, so in my case, that’d be 0 positive. I’ll be happy to provide further information to anybody interested in helping me or any other patient suffering similar conditions.
Thank you so much in advance
