24 years in pan, 16 years of arranging, multiple wins, multiple bands, so many experiences. In all my endeavors, I’ve learned that full support is very hard to come by…..and then I see my sister and my nephew Dillon pull up in total support of a vision I had that I am bringing to fruition along with a missed call from my son in college to wish me luck! The current saying goes “may all your Delulu come true true”. This is now a prayer for the future as I begin to bring all these visions to life. As mentioned before, some may laugh but later will wonder how you did it. This saying speaks to past, present and future….. ….wait for it!

Had a great time this past Saturday at the annual Youth Pan Fest event hosted by . Congratulations on yet another successful year. Also congratulations to all participants (soloists, bands, arrangers, educators) on a job well done and for continuing to advance the steelpan movement!

Special congratulations to for your victories in both the soloist (14-20) and steelband categories. Also for your victories in every category!

Thanks again to the members of CLACC-C for the opportunity of being this years analyst along side . It was definitely a memorable experience and I look forward to seeing how things continue to evolve in the future!

Throughout the summer I’ve been watching different countries host a series of pan events as well resume their respective panorama competitions. Today I had to privilege of watching some talented youth showcase their skills as they competed in todays Jr Pan Fest hosted by . Kudos to all bands represented and special kudos to on capturing that 1st place title!

It was great to see the future of pan in the present and I can honestly say the future looks bright!

I hope that us adults can follow suit and make things happen for sake of pan. More unity needs to take place and petty squabbles of the pest along with misplaced sense of pride need to cast aside for the betterment of the art form. Movement is always better than stagnation which……ok talk done.

Brighter note, I’m very encouraged by today!
