Students have been keeping themselves busy the last few days!

Campers started off their Monday morning with a fun company bonding activity called Camp Jam, where they competed against other students using their combined talents and problem solving skills. Next, they heard from keynote speaker Chris Damsgard, Senior Program Manager of Electrophysiology at Boston Scientific, who spoke about the importance of personal branding. Throughout the day, campers explored different career paths at the Career Expo and attended career skills breakout sessions, where they got important tips on interviewing, building their resume, and other professional skills. Later, everyone gathered for our Picnic Dinner, giving campers a chance to relax, spend time with friends, and take our annual camp-wide group photo.

Yesterday, campers started their day by participating in Mock Interviews, where they met one-on-one with business professionals to practice their interviewing skills. They heard from keynote speaker, Julian Wagner, Founder of The Game Show Studio and Partner at Social Ease about entrepreneurship. He shared his personal journey and spoke about overcoming challenges, taking risks, and turning ideas into successful businesses. Afterwards, campers went to their business breakout sessions which focused on finance, marketing, and operations. Professionals gave insight into how these branches play a key role in starting a company. These sessions were critical in providing helpful information for their business presentations at the end of the week.

We can’t wait to see all their hard work pay off tomorrow when they pitch their presentations!

A special thank you to MBV’s Career Day sponsor, Arby’s Foundation and Arby’s Restaurant Group, as wells as MBV’s Entrepreneur Day sponsor, Cargill!
