Meet your instructor, Elissa Cano.

An accomplished ceramist, educator, and artist, Elissa brings a welcoming, hands-on approach to working with clay. Inspired by her background in anthropology and years of teaching students of all ages, she helps beginners build confidence while exploring both the pottery wheel and handbuilding.

Whether you're discovering clay for the first time or looking to find the techniques you enjoy most, this class is the perfect place to begin your ceramics journey. Elissa creates her own work at Anyhow Studio and teaches in both English and Spanish.

In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn foundational wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques, along with surface decoration and glazing, in a relaxed, supportive environment.
