NOTABLE STATISTICS FOR 2023

We responded to 40,729 calls.

15,051 were self-initiated by Officers (Building Checks/Patrols in areas of concern).

25,678 were the result of a dispatch.

June is our busiest month.

We logged 4,018 reportable criminal offenses of which 969 were felonies.

We made 659 arrests, and a person was most likely to be arrested on a Sunday...It should be noted that there are many other things to do on a Sunday rather than be arrested...

We responded to 1,452 Motor Vehicle Crashes, documented 280 injuries due to crashes, and sadly, investigated one fatality.

Officers issued 4,152 citations for civil motor vehicle infractions. Out of those, 3,311 were written warnings, costing the operator no money out of pocket, issued in an attempt to educate.

Our co-response clinicians responded to 359 mental health calls where they performed a mental health evaluation. What an incredible program!

We responded to 110 medical overdose incidents, of which 14 were fatal. Our hearts go out to the victims, their families and friends...During 75 of these responses, Naloxone was administered effectively.

We responded to approximately 262 incidents where persons were transported to the hospital primarily for alcohol intoxication.
