Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse needs to lead fulfilling lives. (Rocky Hill Location, Mon-Thursday 10:00am-2pm)

Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene tasks.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals.
- Implement care plans and ensure individual needs are met.
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals.
- Document individual progress and any incidents as required.

Skills:
- Ability to lift and assist with mobility for individuals requiring support.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy principles.
- Experience in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary.
- Background in nursing, social work, or related fields is beneficial.
- Proficiency in providing patient care with empathy and respect.
- Familiarity with home care practices and protocols.

Job Description:
Within Reach is seeking motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities in their home and community. Services may include personal care, household support, transportation to appointments, community activities, and assistance with individual goals.
The ideal candidate is reliable, consistent, energetic, and enjoys building meaningful connections while having fun with the individuals they support.
This position requires use of a personal vehicle.

Hours:
Monday–Friday
Hours vary based on individual needs
Current opening: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED
-At least 18 years of age
-Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active car insurance
-Comfortable working in homes and the community
-Ability to pass required background and registry checks

Preferred Skills:
-1–3 years of human services experience (preferred)
-Experience with behavioral individuals (preferred)
-Flexible, dependable, and strong communication skills
