CONNECTIONS IN THE MAKING

Sometimes the answer is already out there.

On Sunday, Veterans Connected received a call from a woman whose father, an Army veteran, and his Army veteran wife had just purchased a mobile home and needed an accessibility ramp.

The very next day, another call came in.

A family whose Army veteran father had recently passed away had a VA-issued ramp they no longer needed and wanted another veteran to benefit from it.

The timing couldn't have been better.

Now we're working to bring those two families together.

One family's need.

Another family's generosity.

That's what connection looks like.

And here's one more part of the story we couldn't help but smile about...

The veteran husband says he first saw his future wife getting off the bus at boot camp, turned to his buddy, and said,

"I'm going to marry that girl."

He did.

Nearly 60 years later, they're still together—and we're honored to play a small part in helping them settle into their new home.
