What a great turnout at Fowlerville Farms Tuesday evening! Thank you to everyone who dined throughout the day! And thank you to everyone who joined the Dinner Club for the evening - it was such a nice evening of fellowship and friends!

It is not easy to master unpleasant or downright terrible experiences, rather than letting them control us. I was so angry after I had been homeless. So angry at myself, at the situation that caused it, at the way life can be incredibly difficult. I realized one day that that anger was consuming my thoughts and attitudes, and I decided that was enough of that. I didn't want to become a person who forever lived caught in that one terrible period of my life. I knew God didn't want that for me, either. So, I started praying and working very hard to focus my mind on the positive things. I practiced forgiving myself and the people who hurt me deeply during that time. And I found my peace. It was HARD. But it was worth it.

Good Morning! I used to be afraid of many things - change being one of my biggest fears. I just wanted to feel ... safe, I guess. So, even the sameness of a dysfunctional comfort zone felt safe, until it wasn't. So I made a huge change in my life by ripping myself out of that situation and plunging into a whole new world of change. That was sixteen years ago, and now, I have learned to embrace change. I don't ever want to find myself looking back on my life and thinking what if...
