What an inspiring two days celebrating student research and creative scholarship at 's Student Arts and Research Symposium (StARS)!

Today, we're featuring Hannah Flockton, who is finishing her honors thesis in Spanish and Social Justice this semester under the mentorship of Dr. José Lara. Her honors thesis examines the lived struggles of transgender individuals in Latin American communities, using film and music as powerful lenses to explore identity, resistance, and representation. Her poster presentation at StARS focused on Cristina “La Veneno” Ortiz, a transgender icon of Spain. Thank you, Hannah, for sharing your important and impactful research.
