Big news for the Bridgeview 9/11 Stair Climb.

Six years ago, a few of us started this event with a simple idea and a hope that one day we could make it an official event right here in Bridgeview. Today, that goal became a reality.

What started as a small stair climb with a handful of firefighters has grown every year. By year four, the turnout from firefighters, family members, friends, and supporters far exceeded anything we imagined. The support from everyone who showed up year after year is what kept this event moving forward.

Today, we met with Mayor Steven Landek and village officials, and we are excited to share that they have given us their full support. Not only did they welcome the idea, but they also offered help with many of the things we were concerned about, including logistics, village support, and making sure the event is done the right way.

To everyone who has supported the annual Bridgeview Stair Climb at Swallow Cliff over the years, thank you. Your support helped get us to this point.

We are excited to bring the event home to Bridgeview and look forward to seeing everyone at SeatGeek Stadium this September.

Hey Bridgeview! Your Local 4330 Firefighters and Paramedics want to give everyone a heads‑up that we’re in for some serious heat the next few days. It’s going to feel like well over 100 degrees at times, so please take it easy outside, drink plenty of water, and try to stay in the AC when you can. Check in on your neighbors, especially seniors and families without air, and remember—kids and pets should never be left in a parked car, even for a minute. If someone starts feeling really sick from the heat (confused, faint, not sweating, or hot and flushed), get them to a cooler place and call 911 right away. We’re here 24/7 if you need us.
