In this video I shared with this black and brown room of young men, how to build a winners mentality by declaring it first thing in the morning, then walking out that door and ACTING UPON IT. Regardless of the haters and doubters, friends and family, teachers and non-believers. I shared with them You have what it takes!!!

And to the person reading this. So to are you! TODAY IS YOUR DAY. WIN TODAY! WIN TODAY! If not for you, do it for the few hundred young men in that room.

After the assembly, a young lady walked up to me and gave me a bracelet she made. She gave it because I shared my story about how I was bullied when I was their age, and how much holding on to something we love AND find out what we love about ourselves, can help us defeat bullying.

I won’t forget that young lady. And I just know she won’t forget that message and our impact.

It’s moments like that, and testimonials like this from this principal that keep me on this mission.

School by school, student by student, and staff by staff, I will continue to fight to end the pain and hate that is in every bullying encounter. It’s hard, the goal sometimes seems bleak, but by the might of the God that I serve, I will forge on, I will believe, and I will continue to touch the lives of all that I encounter.

At the very least, this principal’s testimony and account of what he witnessed with and makes the journey THAT much fulfilling. Principal Williams was gracious, grateful, giving, generous, and a good human to me. And I thank him for opportunity to spread this love ❤️ in my heart with his school community.
