Information for new Muslims
****************** INTRODUCTION TO THIS PAGE ************************
***YOU HAVE JUST BECOME A MUSLIM AND WHAT TO DO NEXT***
***THIS PAGE IS AN EFFORT TO HELP YOU TO LEARN YOUR NEW WAY OF LIFE (ISLAM)***
# # # We organized the posts of this page in way that would be beneficial/appropriate for a new Muslim. So, please read the posts according to the order (for clarity of order each post has an article number).***
**For your convenience each post has (1) written materials (on this page or provided links), (2) video (or Audio) links and (3) Mobile phone Apps.
** We suggest you read the written materials first before moving on to video lectures. Some video lectures (links) may not contain all necessary information on a topic.
# # # As Muslims our goal is to follow the GUIDANCE OF ALLAH (subhanahu wa ta'ala) found in:
(1) QURAN and
(2) in Quran's living example (Prophet Mohammad-pbuh) which is recorded in the authentic HADITH collections
--According To The Understanding And Practice Of The "Pious Predecessors (Mainly The Sahaabah And The Two Successive Generations)".
# # # Two important points about our Shariah (Islamic law) we must clearly understand as new Muslims.
**(1) When it comes to strictly "religious matters" (articles of belief and religious rituals/actions) such as the issues we dealt in articles 2 through 10, are governed by the principle of restriction, which means everything is impermissible (forbidden) unless it is proven that it is prescribed in our Shariah (meaning prescribed by Allah). That means no act (or religious belief) of worship may be performed without textual evidence from the Quran and the authentic Hadith collections.
**(2) When it comes to our all others actions (general actions) of daily life, things that we all humans do, such as dressing, eating, working, learning, sleeping, behaving, business dealings, etc., are all permissible unless there is evidence from the Shariah which restricts it. Which means nothing is considered forbidden unless our Shariah forbids it.
# # # The moment a person embraces Islam (takes Shahada) is the greatest moment in his (or her) life. With the declaration of the Shahada (testimony of Faith) he (or she) starts his new life of being a Muslim like a new born baby (as Muslims we believe babies are pure and sinless).
***Here are few things one should do immediately after taking Shahada.

#(2) Sincere Repentance: http://newmuslimguide.com/en/your-new-life/70 -2

# # # Our very first request and advice to a new Muslim...Please remove all posts and photos containing indecency, immorality, nudity and vulgar speech. Remember the moment you become Muslim (take your Sahadah), Allah forgives all your past sins and you start your journey like a new born baby (sinless). Obviously this forgiveness is given with the understating that we are ashamed and penitent for the sins of our past out of ignorance.
* Remember there is no excuse in Islam for showing (and sharing) immorality, pictures dressed in inappropriate clothing and nudity (according to Islam and not according to your past understanding of nudity) of our past, present or future.
