🌟 Testing Window Begins Monday at Discovery Magnet School! 🌟
Our testing window officially begins this Monday, and to kick things off, our students created a special student‑led motivational video for their peers! 💛
In the video, our Dragons share words of encouragement and advice for all of our students reminding them to relax, stay confident, do their best, and believe in themselves. It’s a wonderful example of leadership, kindness, and our strong school community. 🐉✨
As testing begins, here are a few helpful tips for families to support students at home:
✅ Ensure a good night’s sleep
✅ Provide a healthy breakfast
✅ Encourage students to arrive on time
✅ Remind them to take their time and try their best
✅ Share positive words of encouragement

🌍💚 Earth Day Celebration with the CT Sun 💚🌍
We were warmly welcomed by the Connecticut Sun for a truly unforgettable Earth Day experience with our Discovery Magnet School girls in grades 3–5 at SHU's Discovery Science Center & Planetarium ☀️✨
A huge thank you to the CT Sun for creating such an inspiring and empowering day for our young ladies. There is so much excitement surrounding their Solar Sisters initiative, which truly reflects the power of women’s leadership and the meaningful impact it has on both our communities and the environment. 🌞🌱 In addition, students explored new exhibits and enjoyed engaging, hands‑on activities throughout the day. Moments like these help our students see themselves as future scientists, leaders, and dedicated stewards of our Earth.
