New information on donations.
We have had many folks inquire about how to make donations that will stay local and be used to help tornado/disaster relief. We have designated Wise County United Way as our fiduciary partner, so they can receive monetary donations and put them to direct use in Wise County for impacted residents. They have set up a dedicated donation platform here:

Donations update for Runaway Bay:
Per Wise County Emergency Management, at this time, we are NOT accepting donations.
According to the Wise County Judge’s recent press conference, we are not currently collecting donations due to uncertainty about specific needs.
A coordinated plan is in place, and further information will be shared with the public once donation needs are identified, including when and where items can be accepted.
We appreciate everyone’s willingness to help and will provide updates as soon as they come in. If you have additional questions, you can contact the Wise County Judge’s Office.
We do have information on Storm Debris and Dump Sites.
To assist with storm cleanup, the County is expanding access to disposal sites for residential use only:
Extended Dump Site Access: Boyd, Cottondale, and Chico dump sites will be open tomorrow and Tuesday, in addition to their regular schedules. All sites will operate during their normal business hours.
Fee Waiver for Residential Use: Brush and storm debris disposal fees will be waived all next week to support cleanup efforts. This waiver applies to residential customers only — commercial contractors are not eligible.
Brush/Debris Drop-Off Locations (Residential Use Only)
* Chico and Decatur sites will accept brush.
Temporary Staffed Drop-Off – Runaway Bay (Residential Use Only)
* Location: Roll-offs for storm debris at oil well pad site, 300 block of Overland Trail
* Opening: Begins tomorrow (Monday) morning
* Duration: Open for an undetermined period
Additional Temporary Brush-Only Site (Residential Use Only)
* Intersection of FM 2123 & CR 3655
* Staffed and designated for brush only, 8am-5:30pm.
