Jim's Precision Auto
Good morning to our precision auto family. This is Michelle. I wanted to apologize for not even acknowledging the holidays. Unfortunately, I became extremely sick just before Christmas and have been dealing with some fairly serious medical issues. I am on the upswing!
I’m telling you all this because for the foreseeable future, at least 30 days you will not be seeing me at all behind the counter. As much as we all like a nice vacation, this one is very unexpected and a little scary. To add to the fun, I need to have fairly full-time care during the day and that means Jim is home taking care of me. Would you believe he’s as good a nurse as he is a mechanic? this man can do anything. He sure saved my life.
My biggest concern is that you all show as much patience and understanding with scheduling and timing and billing and everything that goes along with what I do there and what Jim does there. Jesse and Timmy with a little help from our old friend Larry are going to try to keep us moving. I won’t lie. It’s a little scary to know that we are virtually cut in half for the next month.
Please be understanding with the guys, they have worked their butts off and they deserve every kindness. A lot of people have asked if it’s OK to tip them, and the answer is yes. I will also say that it is rare, but we have had people try to Have crappy attitudes on occasion, and that will not be tolerated in the least. Those two young men are what stands between our business surviving or failing. We will always side with fairness as will they. But please be kind to them. It’s been a little scary for them as well.
I really look forward to being back there before too long hopefully by the beginning of February. Jim may be able to go in periodically once I’m a little more on my feet. For now, he is taking great care of Ciarra and I at home and we are enjoying some time as a family. We love our customers and we love what we have built here. Please bear with us in one of the hardest things We have ever gone through.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year’s and keep the faith. God bless America and thank God for second chances.
23 years ago, I met the sweetest gentleman named George. Over the years he became much more than a customer. He became my friend. He and his wife always came to say goodbye when they were going to Germany for the winter. Thankfully, they did that last fall. I remember watching them drive away so grateful that they made time to come say goodbye. And I didn’t know it would be the last time.
You have probably guessed that they are elderly. And you’ve probably guessed that I received a call from his sweet wife today telling me he has passed.
It’s hard to explain how much you come to care about “a customer” over the years. They become your friends sometimes. My heart breaks for his wife and for everyone who never had the privilege of being this World War II veterans friend. I will cherish every time I heard him say when i asked how he was “better now that I’ve seen you” and I will miss the phone calls and the laughs and the hugs. I’ll even miss trying to fix his computer at his house.
Please say a prayer for his precious wife, she is one of the kindest people I have ever known. I knew the minute she called today exactly why she was. And I’m grateful. My heart hurts but im so thankful to have been his friend.
I have another elderly customer who means the world to me and I haven’t been able to talk to him in a few months. That’s gonna hurt so bad. My 2 favorites.
Rest in peace my friend.💔
