Labor Day marks the unofficial finish line of summer. ☀️🏁
For endurance athletes, it’s also a checkpoint:
1️⃣ Training Load – Have you built the right foundation heading into fall races?
2️⃣ Fueling – Are your nutrition strategies supporting longer sessions as mileage and intensity increase?
3️⃣ Recovery – Rest days and sleep are just as important as miles logged.

It’s certainly a good idea to have a fueling and hydration plan for long-distance races—but also build in flexibility.
Fluid and energy needs are dynamic, and race does not always go as planned. 🥴
On the big day, factors such as your pace, weather, and how you feel will influence your actual needs.
💡 PRO TIP: Start by following your plan, but adjust your intake according to how you feel as the race progresses.
