July is Disability Pride Month, an annual observance that commemorates the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It is an opportunity to reflect on the advocacy and sacrifice that it took to achieve this progress, as well as the work still to be done. It is a time to recognize the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of people with disabilities and promote disability culture and visibility.
