LOVE THIS!!! đź’™

The way adults respond to children's hardest moments becomes the voice children carry inside themselves.

A child who is acting out may be looking for connection.
A child who shuts down may be searching for safety.
A child having a tantrum may need help to regulate overwhelming emotions.
A child who is defiant may be seeking a sense of control or empowerment.
A child who clings may simply need reassurance.

We cannot always change how a child feels in the moment, but we can choose how we respond.

When we respond with patience instead of anger, curiosity instead of judgement, and connection instead of rejection, children learn something much bigger than obedience. They learn that their feelings are manageable, that they are safe, and that they are worthy of support, even on their hardest days.

That is the voice they carry into adulthood.

Behaviour is temporary. The way we make children feel about themselves can last a lifetime.
