Premier Ambulance recently joined Sharp Coronado Hospital for a large-scale emergency preparedness drill simulating an island evacuation due to a bridge closure.
In coordination with our partners Mercy Air, Coronado Fire, and local law enforcement, our crews worked to ensure safe, timely patient transport from hospital triage to air evacuation.
We’re especially proud of EMT/FTO Brown and Field Supervisor Thunberg, whose professionalism and attention to detail helped demonstrate the vital role EMS plays in these complex, multi-agency responses.
Each drill brings us closer to seamless readiness—and we’re grateful to Sharp for the opportunity to train together for what matters most: community building and safety.

Our team was honored to stand alongside Riverside Community Hospital and OneLegacy at the Donate Life flag raising ceremony—a powerful tribute to organ and tissue donors who have given the ultimate gift: life itself. Families, healthcare workers, and first responders came together to celebrate these heroes, including Nichole Heimerl, a OneLegacy Ambassador, who shared the moving story of her son, Austin Garrett Nicely, whose generosity saved and improved lives across the country.
We proudly support the mission of organ donation and the lasting impact it has on so many lives. It was especially meaningful for our Riverside-based team at Primary Ambulance to be part of this heartfelt event, standing in solidarity with the community we serve.
