Here in a small mountain town, many of my clients were friends first... Sometimes clients become friends later :-) Here is a 2006 Outback getting new brakes and all 4 sway bar links replaced.... This should be much quieter on bumpy roads now! Lots of times subarus are driven in the snow, which means road salt.... The old sway bar links were so rusted on, that I had to plasma cut the old links off, that would have been very hard to remove those without a plasma cutter!

2006 Subaru Tribeca.... First one of these critters I've had my hands on. Someone else did the heads on this thing and it's got some issues, fingers crossed on a cheap easy fix for the owner, otherwise, the engine has to come back out so we can figure out an overheating issue and what may be a very distressing timing/oiling issue. These newer Subies that have the variable valve timing can be tricky. You don't have to bring your vehicle here, but make sure you take it to someone who knows Subaru quirks. I will never badmouth another local shop, so don't ask who had it however I will say, there are only a handful of shops in this area that I will send people to. I routinely encourage my clients to shop around for quotes from the other reputable foreign specific garages, we're not the cheapest, but when you have a problem that no one else can figure out, they usually end up here :-)

Did I mention that the shop isn't ONLY for Subaru? We will work on just about anything that we actually like to work on. Here a friend's BMW X5 had a dubious repair done by someone previously and ended up causing much hassle. Someone had welded the driveshaft to the transfer case in an attempt to save a small amount of money and ended up nearly costing this person thousands. We had a local machine shop fl**ge a new driveshaft, and I made a spacer out of 5/8ths steel to compensate for damage to the Transfer case. We like doing things that are a little out of the ordinary. This repair should last the life of the vehicle and saved the customer from having to get a new transfer case or having the old one rebuilt.
