Pirates, take note: Summer hours start May 26,2026!

Student Ambassadors from Buchanan Intermediate spent a morning serving and learning at Christian Action Ministries Food Pantry.

Reminder ~ Clubs will be closed next week (5/18-5/22) and also Monday (5/25) in observance of Memorial Day. We look forward to seeing everyone Tuesday (5/26) for the first day of summer programs!

Congratulations to these readers! We had 33 students qualify for the library’s Mark Twain Field Trip by reading (at least) 10 of this year’s nominees.. on top of keeping up with their school work and activities! We celebrated with a movie, pizza, and time in the sunshine today! Huge thanks to the Branson IMAX and Pizza Ranch for supporting our students!

This week we’re spotlighting one of our wonderful 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Brashers! With 25 years of experience in the Branson School District, she brings a wealth of knowledge, care, and dedication to her students each day.
When asked what she loves about Buchanan Intermediate, Mrs. Brashers shared:
“As a teacher at this school, I truly feel grateful to be part of such a supportive environment. I love the children, the staff, and the administration, and it makes coming to work each day meaningful. Our students bring so much energy and curiosity, and the staff works together in a positive and encouraging way. I appreciate the support from parents and the caring encouragement they give to both teachers and children. I value the sense of community here—people genuinely look out for one another, and whenever help is needed, someone is always ready to step in and lend a hand.”

She also reflected on what she loves most about being in education:
“Each day brings new challenges to tackle. Teaching allows me to design lessons that spark curiosity and encourage problem-solving. One of the most fulfilling parts of the job is seeing the growth in students’ minds—watching them understand something that once seemed difficult and gain confidence in their abilities.”
