It's a sad day when all you see are clinical instructors parking their ass in the cafeteria while staff RN's are expected to babysit students with poor attitudes who consistently feel that simple tasks like oral care are beneath them. Nursing isn't about false eyelashes, cross with charms, stanley cups, and figs. The future of healthcare is F*CKED!!!! All of the trust that RN's of the past have built with providers is slipping away thanks to the for profit education system that let's in anybody with a pulse.

The post-COVID world has created an environment where CEO's and upper crusty types consistently pad their pockets, while the rest of us are stuck working in sub-par conditions that compromise patient safety. Having worked at the bedside, in higher education, and leadership, I consistently see new, and seasoned, nurses who are thrown into dangerous situations that may compromise everything they have worked for.
