Beside Still Waters

Lake Taneycomo. Known for world class trout fishing, it's technically a lake, but it looks and functions a lot like a river. Our condo near the Branson Landing is located on this lake. If you are looking for a thrill ride, you can take a tour with Branson Jet boats and get wet flipping cookies in the water. For boat rentals, Scotty's is a good place to try. They own the dock right next to the condo and the owner has told me that if you rent with him, they may even be able to have it ready for you at that dock so you can come and go as you please during your rental. As of the summer of 2024, the cost for a pontoon for 1/2 day with Scotty's is $285 and $385 for 8 hours.

Showboat Branson Belle. The last time I was on the Showboat was for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and that was over 20 years ago. We went on our 18th wedding anniversary and we had a great time. The trip includes 40-60 minutes to hang out around the boat, a great show with a funny emcee, and a three course meal. The boat captain even invited us up to his post and answered any questions we had.

Reza-The Illusionist. Dustin saw David Copperfield back in the day and he said Reza was as impressive as David was. Silas was also selected as FAN of the night and received a bunch of coupons and free show tickets to different shows in town. There was one trick that could be scary to little kids but overall I'd say it's a family friendly show.

Smith Creek Moonshine. If you say free, I’m already interested. We had so much fun trying their free moonshine samples. They offered 12 flavors and they let you try as many as you’d like.
