Oftentimes, service technicians will give up on a problem before they have exhausted all of the resources available to them. In this digital age, you can look up the manual to about any boiler, pump, valve, or controller that you can find in a boiler room.

Go look in the truck of any old-school boiler service technician, and you will probably see piles of manuals. These folks were solving problems back when there was no internet or cell phones, and having the manual was your only lifeline for information.

Next time you have some free time, or you are stuck on a problem, humor yourself and crack open the manual. You might learn something.
