๐ A Legacy of Giving: Thank You, Bob Smith
For the past 15 years, Bob Smith has faithfully championed the mission of Stillpoint Mission by raising funds to help us serve our neighbors in need. His unwavering dedication has made a lasting impact on our organization and the countless individuals and families who rely on our services.
This year, Bob had a very special partner in his fundraising effortsโhis granddaughter, Ellie. As the "poster child for giving," Ellie joined her grandfather's campaign and even contributed a donation from her own piggy bank. What a beautiful reminder that generosity can begin at any age.
Together with the many generous donors who supported Bob's Annual Appeal, this year's campaign raised an incredible $114,507, bringing the 15-year total to $633,507 in support of Stillpoint Mission.
This year's appeal focused on one of our organization's greatest needsโfinding a new home for Stillpoint Mission. While we are still searching for the right location, Bob and everyone who contributed have helped bring us one step closer to making that vision a reality.
Bob, thank you for your steadfast commitment and for inspiring others to give with generous hearts. And thank you, Ellie, for reminding us all that kindness and compassion have no age limit.
๐ To everyone who contributed to this year's appeal, thank you for believing in our mission. Together, we are building a stronger future for Stillpoint Mission and the community we serve.

๐ Meet Our Past President: Gene Tischer
Stillpoint Mission is proud to introduce Gene Tischer, our Past President and a valued member of our Board of Directors.
Gene's connection to Stillpoint Mission began long before he became a volunteer. He first met Sister Nora Brick in the early 1980s while she was serving at St. Michael's Church in Wauchula. After learning about her work at Stillpoint Mission, Gene joined the organization as a volunteer in 2010.
Over the years, Gene has served in many leadership roles, including Office Manager, Treasurer, and most recently Board President, a position he faithfully held for the past five years. His years of service have helped guide Stillpoint Mission's continued growth and commitment to serving our community.
Professionally, Gene enjoyed a distinguished career as a labor law attorney after graduating from Georgetown University Law School. He also worked in home health agency administration and served as Executive Director of the Florida Home Health Care Association.
In addition to his work with Stillpoint Mission, Gene has dedicated his time to serving others as a Bible instructor at both a local church and the DeSoto Correctional Institution.
We are grateful for Gene's years of leadership, service, and unwavering commitment to Stillpoint Mission. His dedication has helped strengthen our organization and expand its impact throughout the community.

๐ A Great Time Was Had by All at the 2026 Hernando De Soto Grand Parade!
Stillpoint Mission was proud to participate in the 2026 Hernando De Soto Historical Society Grand Parade, joining thousands of spectators for one of our community's most cherished traditions.
Our incredible volunteers had a wonderful time riding and walking alongside our float, greeting the crowds and handing out beads as we shared the spirit of Stillpoint Mission with the community.
We extend our sincere thanks to Hernando De Soto Historical Society for generously providing Stillpoint Mission with a complimentary spot in this year's parade. Opportunities like this allow us to increase awareness of our mission and connect with even more members of our community.
A special thank you also goes to Tanner Tischer for providing the pontoon boat that served as our float and for towing us safely along the parade route. Your generosity helped make the day a memorable success!
Most importantly, thank you to our amazing volunteers who gave their time, energy, and smiles to represent Stillpoint Mission with such enthusiasm. You are the heart of everything we do.
๐ญ The Hernando De Soto Grand Parade is held on the last Saturday of April each year, and we look forward to participating again next year!
๐ Together, we're building awareness, strengthening our community, and sharing the mission of Stillpoint, one smile at a time.
