It was such an honor to paint Sorrel — or as she was lovingly known, “Miss Priss.” 🤍

🪻She loved stretching out on her favorite warm rock in the sunshine, surrounded by lupines.

🧡Her owner shared something so beautiful with me: that it was such a privilege to love her and be loved by her. And that being there, as she took her last breath, felt like such a gift.

🐾What a beautiful kind of love — quiet, loyal, comforting, and lasting. Some souls leave paw prints far deeper than words can describe. Sorrel was so very cherished, and I hope this painting always brings a little piece of her warmth back home.

🤍This portrait was especially painful, created in loving memory of precious Stevie who was a puppy that was taken far too soon — a reminder that even the shortest lives can be filled with the deepest love.
