Nashan Photographers

My mom passed away 13 years ago today, it was by far the most significant loss in my life. When I was 15 I told my mother my dream of being a photographer, and for my 16th birthday she gave me my first camera. As a daughter of an immigrant and granddaughter of refugees I didn't realize that my ancestors worked in careers out of necessity. I am the first generation in my family to be able to have a career that I love. I was talking to a prospective groom today and was telling him the story and then started to cry. Because of her unwavering love and support I have been able to live my lifelong dream of being a photographer. I didn't realize the life changing gift she gave me until after she passed away. Josh, the groom I was talking to, was so kind and loving and told me that she knows how grateful I am.
