SCAM ALERT: The Montana Department of Justice's Office of Consumer Protection is warning Montanans of a new text message scam that falsely claims to be from an official government agency, alerting individuals to traffic violations.

As a reminder, law enforcement and government agencies do not send texts asking for money for unpaid tickets or toll road fees. Do not click on any links or scan the QR code.
