I’ve always dreamed of designing book covers and I’m finally setting out to make it happen ✨ so I set myself the task of designing 5 covers for some of my favorite books as examples and it has been an absolute joy!

Books are a huge part of my life and a cornerstone of my identity so bringing my illustration and design to the world of literature feels like a wonderful confluence of my two great loves (books and art).

B I G M A G I C

I cannot overstate the impact Big Magic by has had on me - it truly changed the way I create and operate in the world as a professional creative - so I knew it had to be one of the 5 covers I made, but distilling the essence of Big Magic in a visual language is no easy feat! I decided to illustrate 12 icons/symbols to represent the philosophical themes of this incredible book, and since each one is important in its own way I figured it deserved a spot on the feed✨
