Our most thoughtful came back from his hometown of Essaouira, Morocco where he celebrated Ramadan with his friends and family ☪️🇲🇦 Of course, this wildly thoughtful man came back to us bearing gifts including some gorgeous cups. Unfortunately, they broke in transit. Immediately we knew what to do…

Seeing as the owner of our hostel’s mom is from Japan, we ordered a “kintsugi” ceramic repair kit and surprised Rida. This tradition highlights broken parts of ceramics with gold, making the piece more valuable. We loved bringing these two incredibly vibrant cultures together in this way and couldn’t be more grateful to have so many shared experiences from the many people who make this entire globe beautiful 🌍🌏🌎🗺️

Whether you’re celebrating Easter today, just finished celebrating Ramadan, or many of the wonderful reasons to give thanks, may we all remember that our broken parts make us even more valuable 🫶🏼🏺
