The best medicine for your health is right at your fingertips. Exercise and healthy eating habits help your longevity in many, many ways, as well as helps prevent the onset of many chronic diseases.
If you are just starting out on your health journey, there is no need to feel overwhelmed and go from one extreme to the other (ex. being sedentary to being in the gym 6 days/week for 2 hours each session). Instead, take small steps. Even starting out by going on ~30 min. walks for at least 5 days/week has led to health improvements (Liguori et al., 2022). Listen to your body, know when you need more rest, and be patient. Once you are able to do that, challenge yourself by making your exercise sessions harder (ex. longer walk/distance, more weight/reps).
