Most people don’t know how amazing kinesio tape is, which is unfortunate. I recommend having a roll in your first aid kit and at home at all times. It’s extremely useful especially with injuries.

Today one of my OG clients that I’ve taped many times for healthy holding pattern support twisted her ankle on a run before her appointment. She let me know so I’d be gentle with her foot but had no idea I could do anything to help. I asked her if she wanted me to tape it in a specific way to help the swelling and accelerate the healing process. Of course she said yes! She was even kind enough to send me these pics so I could do this post! Thanks Meg!❤️

The last photo is an image I found online so you can see why this particular way of taping is beneficial. I call it the ‘waffle technique’ because it looks like a waffle fry. 👍

I have used this technique on myself and clients in the past and it helps a lot, especially when applied asap after an injury occurs. I had a client ski into a tree before a session a few year ago and I taped her impact points. She texted me a few days later and couldn’t believe how much it helped and how fast she was healing.
