Inspirit’s Roy Connors (pictured with his banjo), formerly with the 1960s folk group, The Highwaymen, entertained over 30 vets at the West Palm Beach VA hospital on the 80th anniversary of D-Day. He opened with “God Bless America” and then filled the hour with popular folk songs from the 60s like “This Land is Your Land,” “If I Had a Hammer,” and of course, hits by the Highwaymen like, “Michael Row the Boat Ashore,” and “Cotton Fields.”

Millie Tennessee entertained about 20 enthusiastic listeners and some dancers at the North County Senior Center last week, doing Rockin’ Robin, songs by Elvis and some R&B.
