On Friday night, our founder and Executive Director Dupree accepted the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial Award for emulating Dr. King in leadership and philosophy.

In his acceptance speech, Dupree remarked, “One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that things that once felt like obstacles often prepare us to serve, lead and connect with others in ways that no other experience can.”

We are so grateful for this recognition, and the opportunity it’s brought to spotlight our mission on a national stage.
