I have heard from numerous folks that they get life coverage from their place of employment. And that is totally kosher, and I would never in good conscience make anyone lapse a good policy, but a couple of things to remember: 
-You can certainly have more than one policy and more importantly 
-Usually work coverage, whether is contributory or non-contributory offer an amount that while helpful, it’s not necessarily ideal so you can use the extra policy for an increased death benefit.
