Spring invites a quieter kind of beginning. 🌸

While the calendar turns in January, the body often waits. In early spring, as the earth softens and light returns, something within us begins to rise again—gently, steadily, without force.

In traditional East Asian medicine, winter is not a season to overcome, but one to honor. It is a time of storage, of deep restoration, governed by the kidney system where our most essential energy is held. Nature slows. The body follows. This is not idleness. It is wisdom. It is alignment.

How do you identify healthy spaces this holiday?

They are:

➡️ Spaces where you’ll feel affirmed
➡️ Spaces that bring you joy, solo
➡️ Spaces filled with people who are NOT connected through events in your life
➡️ Spaces that don’t require you to exceed your budget
➡️ Spaces filled with people who are joyful and positive

The news of ’s passing was more than shocking — it was a quiet gut-punch for many women who are wives.

Because while the world mourns the public figure, so many women of color are grieving their private realities:

Losing a partner suddenly.
Losing a sense of safety.
Losing a future that was never promised — but deeply hoped for.

Black families continue to carry the weight of a devastating truth: racial mortality disparities mean Black men are more likely to die younger, more suddenly, and more often — disrupting not only lives, but love.

This imbalance doesn’t just shorten lifespans. It shatters love stories, breaks open households, and reshapes futures without warning.

This carousel is for the woman who’s had to plan a funeral before she could plan a future.

For the partner whose life changed in a single phone call.

For the mother learning how to lead a household while grieving the one she built it with.

You are not expected to have the right words.
You are not required to move on quickly.
And you are not alone.

Swipe for therapy-rooted ways to honor your grief, care for yourself while mothering through pain, and begin shaping life after loss — at your own pace.
