Lakeview Hospital recently celebrated Patient Care Technician week!
Our PCTs are integral members of the care team, delivering hands-on care that directly supports patient outcomes. From assisting with mobility, personal care, and meals to working alongside nurses and interdisciplinary teams, PCTs provide essential clinical and compassionate care throughout the day.
Meet Ethel, one of our new PCTs on the Lakeview team. Ethel’s passion for healthcare comes from her lifelong love of caring for others and providing comfort and support to patients during their care journey. She brings compassion, teamwork, and a service-focused approach to her role each day.
To Ethel, and all of our PCTs: thank you for the care, comfort, and support you bring to patients and colleagues alike.

Today we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. We reflect on the significance of this day and remain committed to building a future grounded in compassion, respect and care for others.
Pain in your legs with physical activity? Cramping in your calves? It may be more than just fatigue.
(PAD) affects blood flow to the legs and feet — and it’s more common than you might think. Because symptoms can be mild or easy to mistake for something else, PAD often goes undiagnosed. Over time, reduced blood flow can lead to more serious issues if it’s not addressed.
The good news: PAD can often be managed with the right care. Treatment may include lifestyle changes, medication or procedures to help improve circulation.
➡️ If something doesn’t feel right or you think you may be at risk, talk to your primary care doctor. They may refer you to a specialist for further evaluation. Find a doctor near you: https://bit.ly/4xyRjkj
