Qualified individuals can access health coverage through a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) using the “Newly qualifies for health insurance stipend” Qualifying Life Event (QLE)

Extension of the National COVID-19 Public Health Emergency

In response to continued impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) extended the national COVID Public Health Emergency (PHE) an additional 90 days through April 11, 2023.

Once the Special Enrollment Period begins in February, consumers impacted by the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency can use the “Public Health Emergency” Qualifying Life Event to enroll and make changes to their coverage.
